Kelsey has been dancing at the Shelley Shearer School of Dance since the age of four when she started taking Creative Dance. Now a full time student, she takes ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, hip hop and lyrical classes at the studio. Over the years, Kelsey has completed six ballet exams and competed as a soloist and group performer at the Manitoba Dance Festival and Canadian National Dance Championships, winning many Gold Honours, Elite Gold and Adjudicator’s Choice awards. She has also attended numerous Triple Threat Dance Conventions and Manitoba Dance Festival Workshops. Kelsey’s passion for dance has led her to perform in several musicals at Balmoral Hall School in which she has had various lead roles. These include ‘Skimbleshanks’ from CATS! and different characters from A Chorus Line, Chicago and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown. She has performed at Disneyworld and Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and events such as The Guardian Angel Benefit and The Hospice and Palliative Care Fundraiser here in Winnipeg. Kelsey enjoys being around children and sharing her love of dance with them. She looks forward to continuing assisting and dancing at the studio for many years to come!
